Hi! I’m Lindsay.

I love dancing, wandering through the woods, tending my humble herb and flower garden, and snuggling my pup Mico. I believe that we are all finding our way through this life and we are meant to fumble through it, gracefully or otherwise, together.

I am a licensed occupational therapist, wellness coach, and yoga teacher. I help people discover ways to thrive while living with chronic and complex health conditions primarily through empowering self-management approaches and accessible mind-body practices.

I created Root to Rise so that you don’t have to figure things out alone.

I worked for several years in hospital-based OT settings, from an inpatient spinal cord injury unit to acute care and outpatient neurologic rehab. I grew so much as a clinician — and also became increasingly frustrated and disappointed by the status quo of our existing healthcare system.

I was seeing clients far too late, often in crisis, months and sometimes years after their symptoms began impacting their lives. Many of them had received little to no education about non-pharmaceutical approaches to dealing with the daily realities of living with chronic and complex health conditions.

In Root to Rise, I guide you through the most foundational self-management strategies and evidence-based approaches that can make life with chronic illness less overwhelming. My hope is that it helps you navigate the twists and turns along your journey with more ease, confidence, and self-compassion.
