November 9th: Yoga with Fatigue & Fluctuating Energy
In this workshop, we’ll explore ways to ride the waves of fatigue and fluctuating energy through mindfulness and movement practices that cultivate interoceptive (body state) awareness and self-compassion. Session will include meditation, breathwork, gentle & restorative asana as well as invitational group discussion.
All are welcome! This offering is intentionally designed to support people living with fatigue or energy-limiting conditions (e.g., long COVID, autoimmune issues, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, etc).
November 23rd: Self-Compassion for Managing Chronic Illness
This workshop is for anyone navigating life with ongoing or chronic health issues who wants to lean into practices of self-compassion and connect with others along the journey.
How can you respond kindly with your body even when it goes rogue?
What are ways you can balance and care for yourself in the midst of uncertainty?
How can you honor your experience and hold hope for change?
There are no easy or right answers, but we’ll explore these questions together through journaling, gentle movement, guided relaxation, and group reflection.
December 14th: Yoga with Osteoporosis
While there are unique considerations for practicing with osteoporosis, yoga can be a powerful way to improve muscular strength, balance, and coordination (all of which are important to living well with osteoporosis and osteopenia).
In this workshop, we’ll discuss and explore experientially ways to adapt an asana (physical yoga) practice to prevent injury and to still find joy in movement.
*Note: Participants are encouraged to talk with their healthcare providers about any specific precautions or movement restrictions prior to this workshop.
