Root to Rise is where you can shift from surviving to thriving, build mindful self-management skills, and deepen your self-compassion with personalized support along the way.

Navigating chronic health challenges can be overwhelming and lonely, whether you’re facing a new diagnosis or have been managing your condition for a while. Root to Rise is a 7-week mindful self-management program, offered in both a live group format and a self-paced online course.

Living well and living with a health condition aren’t mutually exclusive. Wellness is incredibly personal and encompasses the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. It is about so much more than just managing symptoms.

Living a whole life while facing health challenges is possible and you get to define what that looks like. But you don’t have to do it alone.

In Root to Rise, you can expect a unique, integrative approach that blends empowering education, guided self-reflection, and accessible embodiment practices.

Each week, you’ll learn practical strategies to improve your everyday life through key topics like:

Hi! I’m Lindsay.

I am a licensed occupational therapist, wellness coach, and yoga teacher. I help people discover ways to thrive while living with chronic and complex health conditions through empowering self-management approaches and accessible mind-body practices.

I created Root to Rise to share foundational self-management strategies and evidence-based approaches that can make life with chronic illness less overwhelming.

I am excited to offer this impactful content as both a live program and self-paced course, so you can choose the format that works best for you. My hope is that it helps you navigate the twists and turns along your journey with more ease, confidence, and self-compassion.

  • Root to Rise is open to all folks living with chronic or complex health conditions. You may have received a diagnosis recently or have been managing a health condition for a while. Maybe you are caught in an uncertain season without answers.

  • The self-management topics and mindful practices in this program can be deeply supportive for folks navigating a variety of health conditions, including:

    -Multiple sclerosis, lupus, autoimmune conditions;
    -Chronic fatigue syndrome/ME;
    -Long COVID and POTS;
    -Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

  • That really depends on your life’s rhythms in this season and what kind of support you’re looking for!

    Live groups meet for 7 weeks (typically consecutively) on the same day/time each week. Some folks really enjoy this predictable structure and gentle accountability. This option also offers you the opportunity to connect with others navigating similar experiences; ask me questions in real-time; and have a more guided experience.

    If your schedule is unpredictable or you’d just like the flexibility to move through content at your own pace, then the self-guided course might be a better fit.

    Both options include a 1-to-1 session with me because I want to make sure you get the most out of your Root to Rise experience!

  • Yes, definitely! I’ve intentionally included a 1-to-1 session with both the group program and online course. You’ll have my undivided attention for exploring questions about content, coaching support for a specific issue/desired next step, or guided movement and mindfulness practices.

    You will also have access to discounted 1-to-1 support packages, if you’d like to continue working together.

  • Yes! This offering is completely virtual and participants can join from anywhere. If you are joining the group program, just make sure the time difference suits your schedule — group times are set to EST.

    The online course can be accessed at any time.

  • All the creative resources, including the printable Root to Rise Toolkit, are yours to keep and return to whenever you’d like!

    Your online course access lasts for the lifetime of the course (which is the foreseeable future)!
